    Storyline:农村姑娘鲁雪枝远离家乡，投奔到大兴安岭的姐姐家落户。她经过刻苦学习，于林业中学毕业后，即开始了伐木工的生涯。茫茫林海，野兽出没， 伐木劳动十分艰苦。但倔犟的鲁雪枝 却爱上了这里的—切，并被选为青年 突击手。在劳动中，雪枝与纯朴的伐木工房根柱相爱，但姐夫陆民子却极 力反对，横加阻拦。姐夫想把她嫁给 一个有权势的民政干部...
