Vasu (Vishal), is a guy who due to some misunderstandings has come out of his rich joint family headed by his mother (Radhika Sarathkumar), and sets up a money lending business.Divya (Shruthi Haasan) a modern girl falls for his good nature. A businessman and a contract killer, Anna Thandavam (Mukesh Tiwari), rubs Vasu the wrong way and bitter battle erupts.

Poojai (English: Devotion) is a 2014 Tamil masala film directed by Hari and produced by Vishal, who himself plays the lead role alongside an ensemble cast featuring Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Raadhika Sarathkumar and Mukesh Tiwari.[2] Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the soundtrack and score for the film,[3] while cinematography and editing were handled by Priyan and V. T. Vijayan, respectively.

The film was officially launched on 28 March 2014 and principal photography began on 18 April 2014. The film released on 22 October 2014 on the occasion of Deepavali along with its Telugu dubbed version titled Pooja.
