    Storyline:天苍野茫的怀俄明牧场，刚刚戒了酒瘾的老牛仔艾纳·吉尔克森（罗伯特·雷德福饰）悉心饲养着仅存的几头牛，生活得平淡而又波澜不惊，但他的心底却始终隐隐作痛，12年前爱子格里芬因车祸身亡，而事故的原因竟是儿媳琼（珍妮佛·洛佩兹饰）的粗心驾驶所致，琼无法面对慈父痛失爱子后的幽怨眼神，身怀身孕的她选择了离家出走、四处漂泊，音信皆无。
