Storyline:江木兰和吕希是夫妻，在北京工作，上有老下有小。因为两人都是第一代独生子女，赡养老人的担子比较沉重。木兰因老人的赡养问题跟吕希产生了矛盾。住到私人敬老院的江开国，帮助照顾儿子常年在外的兰芝并和雷颂华父母成为好朋友。敬老院的那块地本来是属于市政规划用地，即将要拆迁。江木兰打了市长热线，由政府出面保住了敬老院。最终江木兰将二老接回，全家团聚。
