    Storyline:片警胡小玲（陈小艺 饰）与丈夫铁路干警江建平（张嘉译 饰）因生活缺乏激情协议离婚。胡小玲五年前抓捕的经济罪犯管军（孙红雷 饰）出狱后门庭冷落，亲朋背离。胡小玲担心管军再入歧途，让婆婆江大妈（张少华 饰）将房子租给管军，结果离婚的江建平只好另行租房，入住单身母亲郭芳（程愫 饰）家。 江大妈极力撮合胡小玲与江建平复婚，却发现在胡小玲与管军的频繁接触中，二人越走越近，终于结婚。婚后不久，管军的母亲（高秀敏 饰）从东北来探亲，家中五口人矛盾不断。而管军的狱友老虎（王双宝 饰）即将出狱，托管军照顾的女友妮可（黄曼 饰）却与侵吞管军公司的道上人物纠缠不清。与此同时，江建平与郭芳的关系也因郭芳前夫的介入出现危机，两个新家庭面临的挑战一个接着一个……
